The exhibition took place on 7-9 September 2016 and attracted extensive media coverage. It was 10th anniversary and 13th anniversary for CAITME and Textile Expo respectively. The exhibition hosted 271 companies from 22 countries including Austria, Belarus, Belgium, the UK, Germany, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, Russia, Romania, the USA, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan, France, Switzerland and Japan.
As much as 75 per cent of companies that participated at the event are regular CAITME participants in Uzbekistan and the remaining 25 per cent were the debutants at the event. More than 70 companies participated for the first time in CAITME and these include Habasit (Switzerland), Vetri Engineers (India), TriStar Technologies (USA), Macpi (Italy), Dalgakiran (Turkey) and others.
Habasit regional Sales Director Mr. Umit Yanar attended the exhibition and the senior management of many yarn processing mills were pleased due to the opportunity to purchase Habsit spindle tapes and belts directly from the manufacturer.
Vetri Engineers was represented by its founder and CEO Mr. Subban Jayaprakash. The range of products offered by Vetri in general and top rollers for the draw frame machines in particular sparkled great interest among technicians and the heads of manufacturing of mills attending the exhibition.
